Short promotion film to showcase the latest in the Waverider running shoe from Mizuno, launched at the Paris Marathon.

Mizuno’s main USP is that they offer a superior, more technically advanced shoe compared to their competitors. The brief was to focus on the technical enhancements, while making the shoe feel light and modern. The shoe was completely reconstructed in 3D to enable it to be deconstructed, focusing on these features while keeping a consistent fluid motion.

Storyboard / Animatic

A storyboard was developed to highlight the new, improved technical features of the latest Waverider shoe. Working with a 3D specialist this storyboard was translated into a animatic, basically a lo-fi version to convey the movement and timing before further development and production of the final high-res animation.
